The falls on SR 2 near Stevens Pass.

It was pretty miserable at Stevens Pass weather-wise. And there were a LOT of
people there so we just rode on by.

It was more dumb luck than anything else that made me pull into Skykomish.
It was cold and crappy and completely socked in by the time we got here. Looking
across the bridge into the town it doesn't look like much. But I figured a quick
rest stop couldn't hurt. Turned out, Skykomish is an interesting little town
with a lot of history and some very nice people.

A fellow named Kevin Weiderstrom runs a little railroad here in Skykomish to raise
funds for the restoration of the old depot here. He has a web site: Great Northern Cascade Railway

In it's heyday, around 1920, this hotel was quite the hopping place.

Then on to Snohomish, Washington.

And Enumclaw, Washington.

Next stop, Sunrise, Washington.
